Draw comfort from the words of the Master when we as a church are spoken of by those whose lives are torn with hate. They lash out at one thing and another. They manufacture and spread vile falsehoods behind which there is not a shred of truth. There is nothing new about this. But we shall go forward, returning good for evil, being helpful and kind and generous.

Our Dear Missionary Friends,

The mission reunion was superb, because so many of you were able to be there. And, yes, how we missed all those who could not come. Truly, you were missed.

Elder David B. Haight, in the large meeting said, "Be sure to remember and treasure your mission experiences." Which led us into the theme we had chosen for our group session.

DO YOU REMEMBER?

We shared experiences; a letter from a convert; questions, which you answered many times in Scotland from your vast reservoirs of scriptural knowledge as you were prompted by the Holy Ghost; health hints (the clean hands salute); The Parable of the Popper; and more.

Then we visited and reminisced and renewed our commitment to one another and to the Lord, whom we all serve.

We love you all more than words can express and we rejoice as we observe your successes in attaining your post mission goals.

We need to express appreciation to Jeremy and Jandi Shorts and to Suzanne Squires for planning and caring for the details of the reunion. Also, we must recognize the achievement of Nathan Jones in putting together the superb web page for our group, Clydera.com.

Now, we look forward with eager anticipation, to our next opportunity to gather together. We are open to ideas as to place, time, activities, and etc., which would make for a grand gathering. Please communicate with us any and all suggestions. Now is the time to begin the planning process. Of course, this will be a gathering of the Clyde Era group and all who are adopted members of the group (spouses, children, grandchildren, girl friends, boy friends, and etc.

Remember Nate's plea for help in enlarging our database for all missionaries who served in the SEM while we were there. We want to be able to communicate with everyone. Please help us to do so!

It is still our practice to petition the Lord in your behalf, that he will shower you abundantly with opportunities to grow in knowledge and ability, both secular (in your chosen professions) and spiritual within the Lord's Kingdom, that you might continue to be a mighty force in furthering the growth of this great work.

With Love,

Pres. and Sister Clyde
